Hero background

Critical power, and the
data centers that run on it.

Kilgore Energy LLC develops, builds and operates power infrastructure from utility scale generation and storage down to the containerized megawatt. We verify power before we offer capacity.

What we do

Three things we sell,
one thing we do.

We sell power infrastructure, data centers and compute capacity. We build them as one column: generation, the path that makes it firm, the facility that consumes it, and the capacity inside. Most of what sits between a site and a megawatt of compute is work we do ourselves, which is why our timelines are ours to keep.

What we do, in full
  1. Layer 01

    Generation and storage

Utility scale solar, BESS, CHP and gas. Sited, permitted and built, behind the meter or in front of it.

  2. Layer 02

    Interconnection

The path that turns generation into firm power, studied before a capacity date is given.

  3. Layer 03

    The facility

Master planned colocation campuses, phased so that each phase stands alone, and facilities we own and operate.

  4. Layer 04

    Compute capacity

Containerized megawatt scale compute, placed on solar and storage we have already built and commissioned, where power and interconnection are in service.

Track record

Power delivered where there was none.

The delivered work is power infrastructure: micro-grids, storage and interconnection, built and commissioned since 2015. Firm power at a site that does not have it is the problem a data center has first.

A 1.25 gigawatt colocation campus is that problem at scale: five phases of 250 megawatts, phase one under development. It is published without its name and without its location. The projects that can be named, with their figures and the entity behind each, are on the projects page.

Projects

How we develop

Four gates. A gate is a stop.

Each gate has to close before the next one opens. A project that fails a gate goes back or stops; it does not proceed on the assumption that the problem resolves later.

  1. 01

    Site screen

Land, access, fiber, water and zoning, assessed before anyone is asked for anything.

  2. 02

    Power, verified or built

What the utility will actually deliver, in writing, with the interconnection path studied rather than inferred from a queue position. Or generation we build ourselves, where that is the better route to firm power.

  3. 03

    Entitlement and offtake

Permits on a confirmed path with the authority, offtake structured, and capital committed against a phase that stands alone.

  4. 04

    Notice to proceed

Construction and commissioning, only after the first three gates have closed.

Who you contract with

One counterparty, and eleven years of operating history behind it.

Kilgore Energy LLC has deployed over 10,000 energy projects across its brands since 2015, as of October 2026. It runs two operating businesses: Kilgore Energy, for critical power and data center projects, and Nerd Power, for solar and battery storage, each with its own market and its own site. They are one legal entity, so whichever business you came through, the company that signs is the company with the record.

The crews, the licenses, the permits and the commissioned systems are not a claim about a partner or an affiliate. They sit inside the entity that signs.

Background

A capacity question, a site, or capital?

The development team answers these directly, and a lender already underwriting one of our projects reaches the same people. What we release per opportunity comes with the verification behind it.

We would rather be checked. → That is the point of the page.
